Shianne Akers is not your average dance instructor—she's a passionate educator with an impressive background that seamlessly combines the art of dance with the science of psychology.

Shianne's Educational Journey:

Academic Prowess: Shianne holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance, with a special emphasis on dance pedagogy, from The University of Tampa. Her thirst for knowledge led her to simultaneously earn a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology, making her a uniquely well-rounded instructor.

Performance Prowess: Shianne's talent extends from the classroom to the stage. She has graced the dance floors of Hillsborough Community College Dance Ensemble, The University of Tampa Dance program, and even had the privilege of performing with the prestigious Monica Bill Barnes and Company.

Choreographic Creativity: Shianne's artistic flair shines through her choreographic endeavors. She's crafted captivating routines for educational shows at The University of Tampa and brought her imaginative choreography to life in multiple studio recitals. Her innovative spirit also led her to contribute to a mesmerizing dance film project with the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration.

Mentored by the Best: Shianne's journey has been enriched by her mentors, including Orange Grove Dance, Axis Dance Company, and Joh Lehrer—renowned figures in the dance world who have shaped her unique perspective on movement and expression.

Dancing Through Enchantment: Currently, Shianne is a multifaceted artist collaborating with the Tampa Supreme Show girls. Her role encompasses not only choreography but also performance and animating enchanting characters—bringing the magic of dance to life in enchanting ways.

Shianne's dynamic background in both dance and psychology infuses her teaching with a depth and understanding that goes beyond the steps. She creates a learning environment where artistry and academics harmoniously coexist, nurturing the development of well-rounded, expressive dancers.
